Job Summary
Support the Ergonomics Improvement Project through safety innovation initiatives by analyzing Industrial Hygiene program issues and developing ergonomic improvements for workplace safety. Conduct assessments to recommend solutions for occupational health and safety challenges while maintaining the chemical register for compliance. Design and manage databases to support improvement initiatives, collaborating with team members to meet project schedules. Maintain alignment with departmental objectives and facilitate training on occupational health and safety laws and regulations. This three-month internship supports university research projects related to ergonomics and workplace safety improvement within WD's global infrastructure team.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
- Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) principles and practices
- Basic understanding of Industrial Hygiene programs
- Basic knowledge of Health Risk Assessment (HRA)
- Understanding of Medical Surveillance programs, chemical safety, and occupational diseases
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations
- Ability to support university research projects related to ergonomics and workplace safety improvement
- Available for an internship period of at least three (3) months

- Presentation and training facilitation skills
- Familiarity with innovation and continuous improvement methodologies
