Intern - Manufacturing / Tooling Development Engineering (Start onboarding in January 2027)

Job Summary
Assist in design and development of manual or automated tooling fixtures under engineer supervision. Support engineering evaluations including tolerance checks, GR&R, and basic DOE activities while collecting and analyzing production or lab data to drive tooling improvements. Help prepare technical documentation such as drawings, BOM updates, and preventive maintenance sheets, and coordinate logistics for small builds or prototype parts. Provide hands-on assistance in lab prototypes, basic assembly, and test preparation, and support eTRF/ePDM updates and vendor coordination activities.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or related field)
- Basic understanding of mechanical or manufacturing engineering fundamentals
- Able to use CAD software (SolidWorks/other) at beginner level
- Good computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, data entry)
- Good communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
- Basic mechanical design concepts
- Understanding of engineering drawings & GD&T (beginner level)
- Able to use CAD software (SolidWorks) to assist in simple tooling/fixture drafts
- Able to collect, organize, and analyze basic engineering data
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Fast learner and adaptable
- Willing to take initiative and support hands‐on tasks
- Able to work well in a team-oriented environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior project work, university labs, or technical club experience
- Familiarity with ISO concepts (optional)
- English is an advantage
