Job Summary
Intern, IT Network/Systems Administration supporting a fast-paced help desk environment. Responsibilities include determining root cause of IT issues, performing software and hardware installations, troubleshooting wireless and wired networking, providing first-level support using networking tools, deploying software/hardware in an enterprise environment, enabling remote access IT assets, administering mobile device management, and updating systems and network documentation. Requires active enrollment in a college degree program (Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar). The candidate should have a positive, can-do attitude, strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and an interest in systems and network administration. Strong candidate traits include customer service focus, problem-solving ability, familiarity with Windows 10/11, and basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a college degree program (Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar degree highly preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Developed problem solving skills including the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical users
- Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 desktop support and troubleshooting
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills
- Basic networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP protocols
