Job Summary
Industrial Engineering Intern will support process improvement, efficiency analysis, and operational optimization efforts. Responsibilities include analyzing current processes to identify inefficiencies, assisting in time studies and data collection, supporting Lean and Kaizen initiatives, developing process maps and SOPs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to use data to recommend actionable improvements. The role involves participating in project meetings and presenting findings to help improve productivity, cost reduction, and workflow optimization in an on-site Streetsboro, OH environment.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related field
- Knowledge of Lean principles (waste reduction, 5S) and Six Sigma basics (DMAIC)
- Experience with time studies and productivity analysis (including classroom exposure)
- Understanding of workflow optimization and process improvement methodologies
- Ability to develop process maps, standard operating procedures, and reports
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, quality) and effective presentation of findings
