Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern III at Denver Health will perform pharmacy-related functions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including filling and delivering medications, compounding for outpatient, triaging inquiries, coordinating insurance billing, handling patient information systems, and maintaining quality assurance. The role contributes to operational and clinical projects, collaborates with leadership, peers, nurses, and providers to improve patient outcomes, attends departmental trainings and meetings, and develops leadership skills while under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- active enrollment in an accredited school of pharmacy
- PHARMIN-Pharmacy Intern - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies
- PBID-Pharmacy Based Immunization Delivery - BPS - Board of Pharmacy Specialties
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association
- Knowledge of basic pharmacy practices and procedures
- Mathematical computation skills
- Organization and communication skills
- Ability to work as a team member with attention to detail
- Computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
