Job Summary
Support the Global Operations team in daily stock brokerage activities, including settlement follow-ups, trade instructions, and reconciliation of operational data. Organize and maintain operational records, knowledge base articles, SOPs, and departmental runbooks while assisting with corporate action tasks and internal tracker updates. Construct professional emails for stakeholder communication and participate in assigned projects involving process reviews, documentation updates, and identifying opportunities to streamline daily tasks. Develop an introductory understanding of AI and automation tools to reduce manual workload. Work under supervision to follow operational procedures accurately and escalate blockers to senior team members.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, Business Management or a related discipline
- HND-level diploma holders may also be considered
- Good G.C.E. Ordinary Level results, including passes for Mathematics and English
- Basic understanding of the stock market, how it operates and the role of different asset classes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Basic Excel knowledge, including simple formulas, data organization and report preparation
- Good computer literacy and ability to learn new systems, business software and operational tools quickly
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to construct clear, concise and professional emails for stakeholder communication
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with local and global team members
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks
- Ability to follow instructions, work under supervision and complete assigned tasks accurately
- Ability to communicate task progress, questions and blockers clearly to immediate stakeholders
- Willingness to learn about GTN's markets, asset classes, company history, values, leadership structure and competitors
- Willingness to support process documentation, knowledge base updates, runbooks and basic process improvement activities
- Interest in learning how AI and automation can reduce manual operational work and improve daily processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, discipline and professionalism
- Prior experience working in multicultural teams, university societies, internships or project groups
Desired Qualifications
- Prior internship, academic project or coursework related to financial markets, brokerage, banking, operations, accounting or finance
- Basic awareness of trade settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions, custody services, client instructions or counterparty communication
- Exposure to Excel-based data handling, dashboards, reporting or process documentation
- Interest in global financial markets, securities operations and post-trade operational processes
- Familiarity with documentation standards, SOPs, runbooks or knowledge base maintenance
- Curiosity toward process improvement, automation, AI tools and digital ways of working
