Job Summary
Geophysical summer internship opportunity with ESP Associates, Inc. in Greensboro, NC, for a Geophysics/Geology student or recent graduate. The role emphasizes fieldwork and hands-on learning in a multidisciplinary engineering and geosciences environment, with potential progression to temporary or full-time employment. The position is within commuting distance of Greensboro, NC, and offers exposure to civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, geosciences, environmental, subsurface utility engineering, and construction inspection disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate in Geophysics, Geology, or a related program
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions, including on steep slopes and overwater in a boat
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and repetitively swing a sledgehammer weighing up to 20 pounds
- Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record per MVR policy
