Job Summary
Intern (Food Services) assists in food preparation and kitchen operation, transfers supplies and equipment between storage and kitchen, cleans and sanitizes kitchen and cafeteria areas, sets up/down furniture, handles dishwashing and sanitation tasks, and provides high-quality customer service. Supervises Work-Based Learning students in the department as needed; participates in mentoring and modeling Career Success Standards; maintains attendance and productivity, plans and prioritizes tasks, and demonstrates safe handling of food and equipment. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; local Food Handling/Health Certification is required; prior food services experience is desired.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree or certification from an accredited or relevant certified training program or school preferred.
- Experience in a food services operation desired.
- Ability to obtain local Food Handling/Health Certification required.
