INTERN – Flight Deck Performance Engineer

Job Summary
Collect and analyze data for assigned projects involving thermodynamic response of aircraft engines or aero-derivative gas turbines. Apply Lean tools to improve project outcomes and support parametric studies on engine component interactions. Present investigation results in forums with specialized professionals while utilizing statistical tools to provide answers. Document technical data consistent with engineering policies and procedures, and provide timely communication on significant issues to key stakeholders. Work within guidelines of applicable GE policies, standards, and security requirements while maintaining a continuous improvement mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Aeronautical / Mechanical / Energy / Software Engineering student
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); must be able to maintain a simple conversation and present to Senior Leadership
- Background in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics & Statistics
- Proven programming skills
- computer skills in MS Office
- at least one programming language (preferably C++ and/or Python)
- Basic Statistics
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
- Demonstrated ability in managing own projects
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven analytical and organizational abilities
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Must have tax ID (RFC) and social security number (IMSS)
- In-person work required at GEIQ offices in Querétaro, México
