Job Summary
Conduct clinical rotations, practicum, or internship as part of the treatment team at the Facility Based Detox Center in Greenville. Maintain clinical documentation according to program and Medicaid standards regarding service provision, assessment, and progress reports in a supportive environment focused on patient healing. Deliver one-on-one and group counseling for clients with substance abuse and/or behavioral issues, including those with co-occurring mental health disorders. This unpaid internship coincides with your school curriculum in a Health and Human Sciences degree program. You will learn to apply skills acquired in school to a professional setting treating patients with mental health and substance use diagnoses.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Health and Human Sciences degree program
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office and internet applications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carry out assigned projects to completion
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
