Job Summary
Engineering Student on the Optics Team within Interior Sensing Systems; responsibilities include engineering experimentation of optical elements, execution of engineering test plans, technical report generation, and technical writing; role supports imaging optical verification and may involve design/implementation work on engineering equipment (electrical & mechanical testing); preferred candidates are pursuing BS or MS degrees in CE, EE, CS, or ME with knowledge of SW Development Lifecycle and some software development in Python and C++, and have strong academics (GPA ≥ 3.0); requires proficient use of basic electrical tools (oscilloscope, multimeter) and professional communication skills; Magna Electronics emphasizes equal opportunity employment and AI-assisted screening disclosure is noted in the description.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of SW Development Lifecycle

- Advanced knowledge of optical engineering concepts is a plus
- Experience with imaging optics verification is desirable
- Proficiency in Python and C++ is a plus
- Excellent academic record (GPA ≥ 3.0) is preferred
