Job Summary
Intern – Electric Mobility: Support the Project Manager with research, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement for a project enabling an equitable EV transition in Karnataka's automotive sector. Organize and summarize literature and data, synthesize recommendations into presentations and reports, and contribute to policy briefs, grant proposals, and articles. Design events and capacity-building activities, develop innovative problem-solving approaches, and engage with WRI India’s research community. Requires a Master’s degree in a related field, strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, and proficiency in Kannada, English, and Hindi; Kannada proficiency is a must. Location: Bangalore, India; travel to Hubballi-Dharwad-Belgaum may be required. Stipend: INR 25,000 per month. Duration: 3 months with potential renewal.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in sustainable transportation, public policy, climate policy, urban or transport planning, environmental studies or related fields
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis
- Strong communication skills in Kannada, English and Hindi (Kannada proficiency is a must)
- Good working knowledge of sustainable mobility domain, electric vehicle segment, automotive sector and energy transition
- Excellent research, analytical writing and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team
