Job Summary
Intern will join GlobalFoundries' Cyber Defense and Security team to gain hands-on experience across vulnerability management, audit log analysis, incident response, and account monitoring. Responsibilities include continuous vulnerability assessment using tools like Qualys and remediation tracking; monitor and analyze logs with SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel); participate in incident triage and post-incident reviews; and assist in access reviews and privilege audits. Required studies include a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in CS/Info Security with knowledge of cybersecurity principles, scripting (Python/PowerShell/SQL), and familiarity with SIEMs and vulnerability scanners. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field from 2026 / 2027
- Strong foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, networking, and operating systems
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection platforms
- Understanding of log formats, authentication mechanisms, and basic scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, SQL)
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Effective communication skills and ability to document technical findings clearly
