Intern continuous improvement

Support continuous improvement initiatives at the El Carmen Manufacturing Facility by mapping current state processes, collecting and analyzing data to quantify inefficiencies, and assisting in implementing Lean and Six Sigma projects to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Responsibilities include mapping current state processes, data collection and analysis to quantify inefficiencies and potential gains, development and implementation of CI initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles, participating in cross-functional teams to identify root causes and develop solutions, tracking and reporting progress and impact, contributing to creating/updating SOPs, supporting training related to new processes and CI methodologies, conducting time studies and work sampling to optimize production flows, and assisting with documentation and presentation of project findings. Required skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen), excellent written and verbal communication, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong attention to detail, and eagerness to learn and apply CI methodologies in a manufacturing setting.
