Job Summary
GIS Intern obtains entry level experience in Energy/Utilities Field Operations Applications Support – Geographical Information System (GIS), Work Management Information System (WMIS) and Mobile Data System (MDS), application development, configuration management, system administration, hardware support, software support, maintenance, security, troubleshooting. Responsible for solution design, development, integration, and enhancements to meet the business needs and project requirements. Also, responsible for documenting and developing operational procedures and provides end user support.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a related discipline
- Minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must currently reside within 120 miles of CPS Energy Headquarters
- Submit application, resume, transcripts
- Pass a drug test and background screen prior to employment with CPS Energy
- Demonstrated leadership potential
- Exceptional communication skills
- Effective networking skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience or interest in a career applicable to the utility industry
