Job Summary
Intern in CPS Energy's Federal & State Relations team to assist in preparing the state legislative agenda and supporting activities during the 90th Regular Legislative Session (2027). Responsibilities include tracking hearings and regulatory meetings, taking notes and preparing reports, supporting materials for legislative offices, attending meetings/events, and handling administrative tasks. Requires strong written/verbal communication, time management, organization, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and being enrolled in a related discipline with an application including transcripts. Location-based requirement: reside in the Austin Metropolitan area; internship involves indoor, office-based work at CPS Energy HQ in San Antonio, TX; includes background check and drug screen.
Required Qualifications
- Must reside in the Austin Metropolitan area
- Must be currently enrolled in a related discipline
- Current college transcript required
- GPA minimum 2.5
- Must reside within 120 miles of CPS Energy Headquarters
- Demonstrated leadership potential
