Job Summary

Conduct industry, company, and stakeholder research to support client engagements and new business opportunities across Japan and Asia-Pacific. Monitor media, policy, and digital conversations to analyze developments shaping corporate reputation and public discourse. Prepare reports, briefings, and intelligence materials on key themes, narratives, market developments, and emerging risks. Assist with client materials, presentations, stakeholder mapping, campaign planning, and communications strategy development while supporting issues and crisis response efforts through rapid research and fact-finding. The 12-month paid internship requires full-time commitment to the Tokyo office and involves working alongside experienced advisers on live assignments. Candidates must demonstrate strong Japanese and English communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English
  • Exceptional research, analytical and synthesis skills

  • An interest in strategic communications, corporate affairs, business, media, public policy, markets and current affairs
  • The ability to analyse complex information, identify key insights and communicate them clearly, concisely and accurately
