Job Summary
Analyze, conceptualize, and design AI-driven systems targeting manufacturing processes and application error logs. Write calculations and base codes based on design and data validations, while preparing documentation, progress reports, dashboards, and technical presentations. Assist in engineering and manufacturing data analysis to identify improvement opportunities, support process monitoring and optimization, and collaborate with engineers on tests and technical evaluations. Participate in problem-solving and root cause analysis activities, providing regular updates to the hiring manager on activities or deliverables. This role is part of WD's Early Career program, offering structured onboarding and mentorship for individuals pursuing a Master's or Bachelor's degree in AI, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master's Degree or A Bachelor's Degree in AI and Automation, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Demonstrable proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio C#/C++ and other languages such as Python or Java
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Ability to work with large datasets and technical information
- Detail-oriented with a structured and organized approach to tasks
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of statistical process control, manufacturing processes, and the use of AI in manufacturing
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) or API development
- A comprehensive understanding of industry-standard best practices in business analysis and related fields
- Hands-on experience with real engineering and data analysis projects
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence concepts and emerging technologies
- Strong analytical thinking
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Exceptional ability to produce clear, concise, and professional documentation, including requirements documents, design specifications, test plans, and end-user manuals
- Strong communication skills in English
- Capacity to effectively present requirements, designs, test plans, and project status updates to both peers and management
- Strong in Full Stack development, React, Tensorflow, Machine Learning, C++/C#, Python or R, Agentic AI, MQ technologies, MSSQL / PLSQL, PostgreSQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
