Job Summary
Intern role focused on service-related activities within a dealership, involving basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance of agricultural and turf equipment. Interns participate in project assignments and shadow experienced personnel to gain practical experience. Responsibilities include following safety rules, completing reports, and accounting for time and materials. Requires high school diploma and enrollment in an AAS Degree program in John Deere Tech, along with several mechanical and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
- Pursuing AAS Degree in John Deere Tech program
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- Valid drivers license is required
Desired Qualifications
- Fork lift license preferred
