Job Summary
Conduct dedicated intermodal freight operations out of the Salt Lake City ramp, handling drop and hook, preloads, live loads, and live unloads with no driver-assist equipment. Manage approximately 3 to 6 loads daily within a local radius, averaging 1,000 miles per week, with solo or team seat availability. Operate on a high-hour schedule requiring weekend work and holidays, with home time daily. This role offers hourly pay plus stop incentives, averaging $1,300 to $1,700 weekly. Candidates must reside within 25 miles of ZIP 84104 and hold a valid Class A CDL. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- 21 years or older
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must have held a U.S. driver's license the last 12 consecutive months
- Current DOT medical card (new DOT physical required at hire)
- 6 months OTR experience within the last 12 months, OR 12 months OTR experience within the last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
- No serious traffic violations in the last 12 months
- Speeding 30+ MPH over = automatic disqualification for 3 years
- Original ticket copies required for all citations in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 DOT preventable accident in the last 2 years
- No major preventable accidents in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 preventable incidents in the last 2 years
- Preventable rear-end accident = 1 year disqualification
- Accident reports required for ALL accidents in the last 5 years
- No more than 4 driving jobs in the last 12 months
- No more than 1 safety-related termination in the last 5 years
- No DUI/DWI in a commercial vehicle — ever
- No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years while holding a CDL or CLP
- No DUI/DWI in the 5 years before obtaining your CDL or CLP
- No multiple DUI/DWIs
- No failed or refused drug tests — no exceptions
- Hair AND urine testing required, both must be passed
- No drug-related convictions in the last 5 years
- Must live within 25 miles of ZIP 84104 (Salt Lake City, UT)
