Job Summary
Conduct dedicated intermodal ramp freight operations using containers across Chicago, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Indiana. Execute heavy drop and hook cycles during night shifts, including mixed live loads and unloads, while maintaining solo status with no team assignments. Drive approximately 1,800 miles weekly, ensuring daily return home with a tight 25-mile radius requirement from ZIP 60608. Navigate Chicago traffic and out-of-state runs to complete the route. Weekend work and holiday coverage are required. This account offers 45 openings with direct deposit pay ranging from $1,200 to $1,400 per week.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years or older
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must have held a U.S. driver's license the last 12 consecutive months
- Current DOT medical card
- No endorsements required for this position
- 6 months OTR experience within the last 12 months, OR 12 months OTR experience within the last 5 years
- Experienced drivers only — no trainees or recent graduates on this account
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
- No serious traffic violations in the last 12 months
- Speeding 30+ MPH over = automatic disqualification for 3 years
- Original ticket copies required for all citations in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 DOT preventable accident in the last 2 years
- No major preventable accidents in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 preventable incidents in the last 2 years
- Preventable rear-end accident = 1 year disqualification
- Accident reports required for ALL accidents in the last 5 years
- No more than 4 driving jobs in the last 12 months
- No more than 1 safety-related termination in the last 5 years
- No DUI/DWI in a commercial vehicle — ever
- No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years while holding a CDL or CLP
- No DUI/DWI in the 5 years before obtaining your CDL or CLP
- No multiple DUI/DWIs
- No failed or refused drug tests — no exceptions
- Hair AND urine testing required, both must be passed
- No drug-related convictions in the last 5 years
- Must live within 25 miles of ZIP 60608 (Chicago, IL)
- Weekend work required
- Holidays: worked if scheduled that day
- Road test and safety review required on select applications
