INTERMODAL BUSINESS COORDINATOR

Job Summary
Process orders in the Alliance operating system and update shipment data daily. Build relationships with rail, dray, and customers to meet requirements while managing traffic movements from origin through delivery. Ensure timely execution of pickup and delivery functions, resolving shipment issues and communicating them to customers or management as needed. Train new team members on accounts and maintain compliance with customer requirements and Alliance SOPs. This front-line operations role supports Alliance Shippers, Inc.'s comprehensive logistics solutions, including temperature control and intermodal transport, within a team-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Employment eligibility will be verified through E-Verify
- Background check is required
- Experience in intermodal freight handling, shipping operations, or freight forwarding
- 1-2 years of industry experience
- Able to work within a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple responsibilities
- Ability to handle conflict and provide insightful resolution with the mindset to prevent future issues
- Honest, strong work ethic, resourceful and possess effective negotiation skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- High level of urgency and a strong desire to succeed
- Proficient in computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related field, preferred but not required
