Job Summary
Lifeguard responsible for the safety and rescue of patrons in and around the pool at The Ohio State University’s McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion; enforces facility rules and policies, provides high-level customer service, and communicates effectively with patrons and staff. Oversees aquatic facility operations in the absence of full-time staff, may take on leadership roles, and assists with duties such as cleaning, equipment setup/teardown, and routine maintenance. Requires lifeguard certifications (American Red Cross Lifeguard & CPR-PR/AED), ability to work mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and to lift up to 50 pounds; starting pay is $18.00 per hour with intermittent, varying shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- American Red Cross Lifeguard & CPR-PR/AED certifications
- previous lifeguard experience
- ability to lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds
