Job Summary
Conduct case management, supervision, and training for staff and persons served in the Intermittent CILA program, directing implementation of Person Centered Plans and monitoring service effectiveness. Lead the interdisciplinary team in planning individualized programs, coordinating referrals to community services, and maintaining compliance with licensure, certification, and accreditation standards. Provide active training in daily living, recreation, vocational skills, and self-advocacy while ensuring data recording, monthly reviews, and quality assurance submissions. Manage department operations including housekeeping, safety protocols, and staffing reports to the Vice President of Clinical Services. Maintain confidentiality in all communications and perform special projects as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field
- Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP)
- Minimum of two years' experience with the developmentally disabled and mental illness
- Thorough understanding of developmental disabilities, mental illness, active treatment, principles of normalization, inclusion, least restrictive environment, choice, integration, self-empowerment, and functional skill development
- Ability to adapt to frequent change and perform adequately when confronted with critical or unexpected issues
- Ability to make sound clinical judgments based on sound reasoning in daily and emergency situations
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically in both oral and written form
- Ability to meet and work with the public
- Ability to identify and implement creative solutions to problems
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Reliable transportation to conduct agency business and/or to transport individuals served as needed
- Valid Illinois Driver's License
- Good Motor Vehicle Record
- Personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of Bodily Injury-Liability per Person of $100,000 and Liability per Accident of $300,000, Property Liability of $100,000; Medical Payments of $5,000; and Uninsured/Underinsured Person of $100,000 and Accident of $300,000
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to assist in lifting and/or transferring an individual who is non-ambulatory from sitting to standing; standing to lying; back to sitting from all positions
- Full range of mobility: pull, pull, turn, stoop, kneel, reach, bend
- Dependable vision, having visual acuity far and near and normal field of vision
- Ability to remain on feet for a minimum of two (2) hours at a time
- Adequate hearing and/or functional accommodation
- Ability to counsel, advise, teach, resolve conflicts, and direct persons served and families
- Ability to utilize a phone, computer, word processing software, E-mail, and the filing system
- Ability to summarize, synthesize and analyze data/information
- Ability to maintain payroll, financial, personnel, and information related to persons served as confidential and in accordance with the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act and the Policies and Procedures of Macon Resources, Inc.
- Ability to adhere to the Safety Policies and Procedures of MRI
- Ability to complete MRI training requirements
- Ability to maintain current certification for first-aid and CPR procedures
- Ability to notify supervisor if unable to report to work
- Ability to work cooperatively with persons served, other service organizations, and staff of MRI
