Intermediate Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Contribute to technical project aspects by evaluating customer requirements, defining system functional and performance needs, and developing architecture trade-off studies. Assess cross-domain dependencies through simulation and modeling to enable data-driven decisions for optimal system performance. Participate in system verification and validation activities, ensuring requirements are fully verified through testing, analysis, inspection, and demonstration. Continuously evaluate technical risks and work with the team to mitigate them while ensuring design compliance with standards and specifications. Complete system and product analyses covering reliability, maintainability, testability, usability, safety, security, and regulatory certification.

  • Systems Engineering expertise applied to complex technical solutions
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, science or engineering with 3+ years in a systems engineering related role
  • Understanding the product development life cycle
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with systems thinking
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Technical research abilities with the aptitude for sharing of information and expertise
  • Strong systems and software architectural design and analysis skills
  • Effective application of reliability engineering principles (e.g. FMEA, FTA, RCA, MTBF, etc.)

Desired Qualifications

  • General knowledge of GNSS technologies, or digital communication protocols
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (UML, SysML) and related tools, such as Enterprise Architect (EA)
  • Expertise with one or more requirements management tools, such as Polarion or DOORS
  • Experience working in development environments that follow standards such as ISO-16949, ASPICE, etc.
