Intermediate Software Engineer

Job Summary
Develop, test, and maintain moderate-complexity software features with limited supervision while collaborating with senior engineers, product managers, and QA to refine requirements and deliver solutions. Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot and debug issues across development and test environments, and write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality. Contribute to technical documentation, support integration and CI/CD activities, and assist in improving development processes and team workflows. Begin taking ownership of small modules or components within the system architecture. This full-time position is located at MacDill AFB, FL or Ft. Belvoir, VA, contingent upon contract award.
Required Qualifications
- US citizenship
- Active Secret clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Understanding of software development methodologies, data structures, and algorithms
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, or distributed systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
Desired Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
