Job Summary
Manage structural design and construction administration for projects integrating structure and architecture, developing resilient solutions that exceed code requirements. Perform structural analysis and develop designs from concept through construction, communicating outputs to the drafting team for BIM model and drawing development. Coordinate design coordination with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders while participating in internal committees for sustainability and technical standards. Engage in business development activities where applicable. This role supports Equilibrium's growth in mass timber residential towers, residence halls, and corporate headquarters, offering direct collaboration with leadership for long-term career development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a Civil/Structural Engineering program
- Located in Atlanta or willing to relocate
- Valid work status in the US
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a similar role
- Strong communication skills
- Must thrive while working in a collaborative environment
- Enthusiasm and love for learning
- Disciplined work ethic with great attitude and energy
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects and teams concurrently
- Organized, self-motivated, pro-active, detail-oriented, and willing to take on new challenges
- Problem-solver and critical thinker
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Licensed Engineer in the US (PE/SE)
- Interest in mass timber
- Mass timber experience
- Interest in embodied carbon and minimizing the climate impact of structural design
- Seismic analysis and design experience
- Experience with structural analysis software such as RFEM, RSTAB, ETABS, SAFE, GSA, etc.
