Job Summary
Prepare complete estimates and tender submissions for civil landscape construction projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and contracts to complete detailed quantity take-offs. Analyze labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements while identifying project risks and cost-saving solutions. Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations teams during pre-construction, support value engineering reviews, and assist with successful project handoffs following awarded contracts. Maintain organized documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes. This role focuses on municipal parks, trail systems, pedestrian bridges, sports fields, and site development projects within CSL Group's expanding Civil Construction team.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of estimating experience in civil construction, landscape construction, site development, or a related industry
- Experience preparing detailed construction estimates and competitive tender submissions
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience using digital estimating and takeoff software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and external partners
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with municipal or public-sector tenders is an asset
