Job Summary
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases while executing and overseeing manual and automated testing to ensure software quality, performance, and reliability. Drive regression testing efforts to validate system stability across releases and identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through to resolution. Partner closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and ensure seamless integration by participating in design and requirements reviews. Monitor and report on QA metrics, test progress, and defect trends to stakeholders while championing QA best practices and mentoring junior team members. Attend the office twice per month with dates and times communicated in advance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with demonstrated ownership of testing strategy and delivery
- Strong hands-on experience executing both manual and automated testing using modern QA methodologies and frameworks
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing frameworks
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and scripting languages
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
- Experience contributing to or leading Knowledge Management and QA process improvements
- Canadian or U.S. citizens or permanent residents due to employment authorization requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working within Agile teams or formal training in Scrum or Agile methodologies is considered a strong asset
