Job Summary
Plan and execute the flow of externally procured material from the supplier into the factory for assigned products ensuring inventory optimization and flow of material. Plan all purchased and manufactured parts utilizing EOQ, min/max, fixed days, Kanban, MRP, and maintain planning parameters in GAINS and Oracle. Schedule manufacturing orders, prioritize shop-floor schedules, and communicate with customer service to align priorities. Manage inventory to meet cell objectives, surface supply shortages, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on capacity utilization and sourcing. Forecast and maintain product forecasts in GAINS to drive Oracle planning, identify and implement inventory reduction initiatives, and support new product development from concept to launch. Require a Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 2 years of planning experience; familiar with BOMs, ERP/GAINS/Oracle, and lean concepts; not eligible for visa sponsorship. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and minimum 2 years of planning or related experience in a manufacturing/ distribution environment
- Experience in planning product with multi-level BOM's
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and lean manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures
- Oracle or other ERP Windows-based system experience
- Strong PC skills, including report generation skills (Cognos, Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to recognize basic cost saving opportunities and recommend to the appropriate personnel
