Job Summary
Intermediate Phase Math and Science teacher to join Nova Pioneer Northriding on a temporary maternity-cover basis. The role involves designing impactful enquiry-based lessons with support from learning designers, observing/coaching Apprentice Teachers, mentoring, setting rigorous goals, ongoing assessment and data-informed instruction, regular communication with parents, and contribution to co-curricular activities. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor’s plus PGCE, SACE registration, classroom experience in Math and Science for the intermediate phase, and the ability to lead a classroom independently; familiarity with Cambridge curriculum objectives and ICT-enhanced instruction is an advantage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor’s Degree + Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) for Intermediate Phase
- SACE registered (provide registration number and certificate)
- Classroom experience teaching Mathematics and Science at Intermediate Phase
- Experience with Cambridge curriculum objectives advantageous
- Ability to lead a classroom independently
- Experience using ICT in classroom
- Valid Police Clearance (no older than 6 months)
- ID Copy / Passport
- Work Permit (if applicable)
- SACE certificate
