Intermediate Network Consultant

Job Summary
Design and implement industry-leading network solutions for campus, data center, WAN/SD-WAN, wireless, and cloud environments. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs, while supporting implementation, configuration, and deployment of next-generation firewalls and zero-trust initiatives. Troubleshoot complex network problems and contribute to pre-sales activities, including solution scoping and proposal preparation. Create and maintain technical documentation, including low-level designs and operational materials, while guiding junior team members. This role is based in the Calgary branch for an Intermediate Network Consultant with 5+ years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise networking solutions
- Proven expertise in routing and switching (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, spanning tree, VLANs)
- Deep knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure gateways
- Strong background in wireless networking
- Experience with NAC platforms
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN technologies
- Exposure to cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
- Skilled at producing architecture diagrams, HLDs/LLDs, and design documentation
- Strong communication and client-facing skills — comfortable engaging with executives as well as technical teams
Desired Qualifications
- Vendor certifications: CCNA, CCNP, and/or similar
- Familiarity with zero-trust frameworks and enterprise security standards
- Consulting or pre-sales experience in a professional services environment
