Job Summary
Model, draft, and document mechanical systems—including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation—using Revit and AutoCAD to produce coordinated drawing sets and equipment schedules. Support healthcare and mission-critical facilities by coordinating medical gas, vacuum, and sterile processing infrastructure while maintaining accurate pressure and airflow representations. Draft emergency power systems supporting generators and fuel storage, ensuring coordination with electrical and structural disciplines. Conduct site reviews and field investigations throughout Northern Alberta to verify existing conditions and support as-built documentation. Work with senior engineers to deliver buildable projects across acute care hospitals, community health centres, and correctional facilities. Engage directly with clients to understand project needs and maintain strong business relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years' experience using Revit (MEP) and AutoCAD supporting mechanical building design
- Ability to adapt to and adhere to internal and external Revit / CAD and design standards
- Valid Canadian driver's licence with access to transportation for site reviews and inspections
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in the English language
Desired Qualifications
- Membership or eligibility for membership with ASET as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) is an asset
- Familiarity with mechanical building systems and applicable codes — National Building Code (Alberta Edition) and CSA healthcare standards (Z317.1, Z317.2, Z7396.1) — is an asset
- Exposure to healthcare, mission-critical, or other essential-facility projects is an asset
- Available to work outside of the office on an occasional basis
