Job Summary
Lead and deliver mechanical engineering on large‐scale industrial projects across Québec, from concept through detailed design and construction support. Prepare and/or supervise the development of plans, specifications, and details for mechanical, industrial, mining, and institutional projects. Produce and validate engineering calculations to support equipment selection, layouts, and detailed design. Perform quantity take‐offs and support the preparation of estimates and budget documentation. Oversee the preparation of tender documents, technical specifications, and other engineering documents. Maintain regular contact with clients to clarify needs, present technical concepts, and communicate study results and design choices. Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and drafters assigned to projects. Ensure quality control of all mechanical discipline deliverables and support adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. Support project managers as needed and contribute to continuous improvement in design and delivery methods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training
- 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering for industrial or mining projects
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Experience in consulting engineering is considered an asset
