Job Summary
Intermediate Liaison, Student Recruitment represents the University of Ottawa to promote undergraduate programs across Canada and the United States, helps develop the university’s recruitment plan, maintains relationships with high school and CEGEP guidance counsellors, faculty communication officers, the Admissions Office, and Marketing/Communications, and organizes travel and events to attract admissions applications. Responsibilities include delivering dynamic presentations to prospective students (in-person and virtual), traveling for outreach weeks, coordinating recruitment tools and materials, and collaborating across divisions to ensure accurate information and accessible communications for the 16-22 age group.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in any field, or an equivalent combination education and work experience
- Minimum 3 year of experience in client services, sales, marketing, public relations, or other similar experiences dealing with the public
- Valid Class G driver’s license (or provincial/territorial equivalent) and satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Bilingualism: French and English (spoken and written) to be considered for this position at Low Advanced proficiency level or higher in second official language
- Experience in public relations or making public presentations in both official languages and the ability to design presentations for a variety of audiences both in-person and virtually
- Experience in client services as a resource person
- Experience in developing promotional materials (publications, brochures, promotional items, and other promotional material)
- Advanced level of competency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive
- Experience with CRM tools (such as Talisma) is an asset
- Familiarity with virtual communication tools such as Teams, Zoom, Virtual bookings and scheduling technology
