Job Summary
Intermediate JavaScript Developer at Axos Bank. Leads complex development efforts within the Martech-focused web application, designs and maintains features from spec through deployment, architects data integrations connecting our digital properties to marketing, analytics, and personalization platforms, collaborates with product, marketing, and analytics teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions across the customer journey, leads and contributes to tag management, data layer architecture, and data collection workflows, contributes to code reviews and sprint planning, writes clean, performant, and well-tested code, and champions engineering excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience with JavaScript development
- Deep, demonstrable command of JavaScript
- Production-level React experience, including hooks, state management, component architecture, and performance optimization
- Proficiency with Git workflows including branching strategies, pull request reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication skills with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership
- Ability to work fully on-site at our San Diego headquarters five days per week
- Experience with Next.js or other server-side rendering frameworks in a production environment
- Hands-on experience integrating with CRM, marketing automation, or customer data platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Segment)
- Practical experience with tag management systems (e.g. Google Tag Manager, Tealium) and data layer design
- Familiarity with digital analytics tools and marketing data pipelines, including A/B testing and conversion tracking
