Job Summary
Intermediate Interior Designer at NBBJ Charlotte will contribute to healthcare interiors projects from early design through construction administration, collaborating with clients and contractors, developing design concepts, preparing contract and permitting documents, and leading/mentoring team members. The role involves coordinating with architects, interior designers, lighting designers, and other disciplines; may participate in marketing efforts and client presentations; and requires proficiency in Revit (plus Rhino), Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite, with strong communication and detail orientation. Applicants should have 5–10 years of interiors experience with healthcare project expertise, a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, LEED accreditation or eligibility within 18 months, and the ability to travel; the position is US-based.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or related field
- 5–10 years of professional experience in interiors
- Well-versed in healthcare projects with experience on small and large scale projects
- LEED Accreditation or within 18 months of hire
- Proficiency in Revit with 3D modeling skills essential; familiarity with Rhino and re-integration into Revit is a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Enscape and/or other rendering processes
- Ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Client presentation skills is beneficial
- Ability to travel if the project(s) requires
