Job Summary
Conduct geotechnical analyses and interpret site investigation data to support the design and rehabilitation of embankment dams, dykes, and cofferdams from planning through detailed design. Perform dam safety reviews, assess geotechnical instrumentation, and provide technical support during construction and field investigations while ensuring compliance with Canadian Dam Association guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions, contribute to technical reporting and drawing reviews, and participate in quality assurance meetings. This role offers a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with 5-8 years of experience in hydroelectric and dam projects. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada, or eligible to obtain registration in the near term
- 5-8 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience
- Experience performing geotechnical analyses and interpreting subsurface investigation and instrumentation data
- Working knowledge of dam safety practices, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and applicable Canadian Dam Association (CDA) guidelines
- Experience preparing technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and construction support documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
