Job Summary
As an Intermediate Environmental Project Manager, you will manage a portfolio of simple to moderately complex project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring high-quality deliverables for clients. Responsibilities include leading and participating in safety culture initiatives, communicating with client stakeholders, preparing technical reports and proposals, and mentoring junior staff. The role requires a degree in environmental science or related fields, significant environmental consulting experience, project management experience, and strong communication and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology or engineering
- A minimum of six (6) years previous environmental consulting experience with a minimum of two (2) years of direct project management experience
- Eligibility for registration in or maintaining a good standing in a professional organization (e.g. AIA, ASET, APEGA)
- Self-motivated, possess strong communication skills (verbal and written), and strong leadership skills
- A valid and clean class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with estimating costs and leading site assessment and remediation programs in the oil & gas industry
- Experience writing technical reports including ESAs, RMPs, RAPs, etc.
- Experience with the Alberta Energy Regulator’s OneStop tool and working knowledge of provincial regulatory frameworks in Western Canada
- Experience with Workday software
