Job Summary
Lead field team for field data collection activities and surveys (e.g., invasive plants, breeding bird, fish habitat quality); prepare desktop and field-based environmental assessment reports, regulatory submissions, and environmental management plans; coordinate and collaborate with project team members to produce deliverables and provide guidance; attend project and client meetings, provide input, and assist with presentations; act as field representative conducting site inspections and providing directions to external stakeholders (contractors and client representatives); coordinate and communicate with external site stakeholders; ensure work meets quality standards and client expectations; assist Project Managers with proposals; work closely with professionals from all other disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or graduate education in environmental science, environmental management, environmental engineering, or related field
- Professional designation with a recognized professional body (e.g., CAB-BC)
- Previous experience signing off as Qualified Environmental Professional is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive and takes action to resolve client issues
