Job Summary
Create, develop, and test electrical power systems while designing schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD software. Utilize instruments like ETAP, PSS/E, or SKM for power system analysis and modeling, and perform cost-benefit evaluations and feasibility studies for planned initiatives. Examine specifications, drawings, and calculations in electrical design papers, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure projects complete on time and within budget. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 7-10 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in a comparable position
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Expertise designing, analyzing, and implementing electrical power systems for at least five years
- CAD software proficiency for electrical design
- Knowledge of power system analysis applications like ETAP, PSS/E, or SKM
- Knowledge of the NEC, IEEE, and IEC codes, standards, and laws that govern electrical power systems
