Job Summary
Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components, including designing wiring harnesses and cable assemblies while ensuring EMC/EMI compliance. Conduct testing of printed circuit boards and develop test plans to validate system reliability and performance. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and firmware components, participate in design reviews, and review engineering deliverables. Provide technical assistance during the manufacturing process and offer operational support in the field. Mentor Electrical Engineers and Technologists. This Intermediate Electrical Technologist role is based in Dartmouth, NS, and requires a diploma with 4+ years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent with 4+ years' experience
- Excellent design standards and strong troubleshooting skills
- Effectively focus on high level project objectives while executing detailed design tasks
- Incredible attention to detail
- Demonstrated technical skills along with a proven track record for success
- Experience in the design specification, installation and connection methods of electrical equipment
- Strong written and oral communications skills (technical reporting)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently, as well as effectively within a team environment
- High degree of organization, with the ability to prioritize task
