Intermediate Electrical Engineer (SAS)

Job Summary
Design mixed-signal PCBs and embedded electrical systems for subsea robotics and sensing platforms, architecting power, signal integrity, and control for extreme ocean environments. Develop and validate designs against pressure, temperature, and EMI criteria while collaborating with mechanical, firmware, and systems engineers to guide products from prototype through field deployment. Mentor junior engineers and co-op students while applying required codes and standards to design criteria. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering
- Background in PCB design and mixed analog/digital systems
- Experience with power electronics and/or embedded systems
- Proven ability to take designs from concept to production
- Comfortable troubleshooting issues like noise, distortion, cross-talk, grounding, EMI/EMC
- Must be able to work in Mount Pearl, NL
- Must be able to work remotely within Canada
- Must be eligible for CUSMA work permit (for American applicants)
- Must be willing to transfer to Mount Pearl after ~6 months
- Must be willing to engage in periodic on-site collaboration
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with subsea, marine, or microelectronics industries
- Familiarity with tools like Altium, Zuken E3, or LabVIEW
- Experience with sensor/telemetry systems
