Intermediate Electrical Engineer - Infrastructure

Job Summary
Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Mississauga. Will work within a multidisciplinary design team to support Project Managers and Senior Engineers in delivering electrical design assignments, including power distribution system designs (single-line diagrams, site power layouts, motor control schematics, standby/emergency power, lighting layouts), and Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) designs for SCADA, control panels, P&IDs, and network diagrams. Responsible for preparing detailed designs, calculations, technical specifications, and contract documents for municipal facilities such as water and wastewater plants; contributing to reports, cost estimates, tender documents, and construction drawings; participating in field investigations, site inspections, and condition assessments; performing shop drawing reviews and assisting with FAT/SAT; supporting contract administration (RFIs, change orders, construction progress); liaising with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders; and providing guidance to junior engineers, EITs, and co-ops. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and P.Eng. in Ontario (or eligible), about 5 years of related experience, and strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, or eligible for registration
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience
- Experience in detailed design, field coordination, and construction support
- Strong understanding of Canadian Electrical Code requirements and applicable standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute in a team
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle access
