Job Summary
Deliver detailed electrical designs from RIBA stages A to F, including lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems, while producing budgets, reports, and 3D working drawings. Provide quality control on your own work before release, develop project scope with the design team and client, and represent EDC at client meetings. Champion new systems and technologies, manage multiple projects with disciplined prioritization, and adhere to the company's Environmental Management System. Fulfil design work to project deadlines with a minimum of three days' office attendance per week.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years' Building Services Consultancy Design experience
- Competent user of Amtech
- Competent user of Relux/Dialux
- Ability to deliver detailed designs from RIBA stages A to F
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.)
- Proficient user of Autodesk Applications (AutoCAD/Design Review)
- Proficient user of Amtech, Relux or Dialux
- Experience of delivering detailed designs through the full design cycle
- Good knowledge and experience in Lighting & Emergency Lighting
- Good knowledge and experience in Small Power & Data
- Good knowledge and experience in Fire alarms
- Good knowledge and experience in CCTV & Intruder Alarms
- Good knowledge and experience in MV/LV Power Distribution
- Good knowledge and experience in Containment and BMS
- Ability to make prompt, disciplined project decisions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Minimum of 3 years of Electrical Building Services Consultancy Design experience
- Work-from-home arrangements are to be agreed with the line manager
- Minimum of three days' office attendance per week

- BIM experience advantageous
- Experience in Commercial Awareness
