Job Summary
Intermediate Designer in an interiors studio focused on producing functionally beautiful spaces. Responsibilities include coordinating and producing contract documents with support from project management, applying independent judgment and critical thinking to adapt standards to project requirements, and leveraging knowledge of codes and permitting. Requires proficiency in Revit (and related tools) and collaboration with consultants across civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural disciplines. Preferred skills include Grasshopper/Dynamo, Rhino, Enscape, and strong communication abilities. The firm emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and contributing to community-oriented environments. EOEs varied office priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited program
- 3-5 years of experience in architectural and interior design practice with a focus on construction documentation
- Knowledge of architectural detailing and current construction standards
- Proficiency in Revit and other design software and their application to Contract Documents
- Knowledge of codes, consultants coordination (civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural) and ability to successfully complete the permitting process with minimal aid and supervision
- Basic knowledge of construction contract administration processes
- Effective communication skills for ongoing project collaboration and documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Revit and other design software
