Job Summary
Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer role focused on leading civil/structural design for oil and gas facilities, earthworks, roads, drainage, coordination with multiple disciplines, and involvement in project execution, procurement input, field support, and adherence to CSA/NBC/CISC standards; Calgary-based with onsite work expectation and EPCM project exposure in Canada and international markets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- P.Eng. eligibility/registration with APEGA
- 5–8 years of civil engineering experience
- Experience with EPCM oil & gas facilities preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- A detail-oriented, analytical approach to problem-solving
- Understanding of earthworks design practices
- Understanding of stormwater drainage systems and calculations
- Understanding of secondary containment systems
- Understanding of road design
- Familiarity with industry design standards and drawing practices
- Experience collaborating with Geotechnical and other design disciplines
- Software proficiency in MS Excel and Navisworks Freedom
- Experience with structural software (e.g. RISA, S-Frame) not mandatory but asset
- Civil3D experience
- P.Eng or EIT with APEGA
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in civil earthworks / grading (oil & gas facilities preferred)
