Job Summary
Create, develop, and manage BIM models and drawings for structural engineering components under direction from Structural Engineers. Organize and distribute project deliverables, guide junior technologists, and collaborate on updating data in Revit models and schedules. Develop firmwide standards for BIM workflows and drawing graphics, while producing CAD drawings as needed. Handle workloads to meet project deadlines through regular interaction with project leaders. Requires two to four years of professional experience in Revit and structural systems, with a portfolio submission mandatory for review.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or two years of college training or equivalent
- Two (2) to four (4) years of professional experience in BIM systems such as Revit to document structural information for large building projects
- Demonstrates attention to detail and consistency in model-building, data-organization, and drawing set-up with a graphical style that is clear, consistent and artful
- Exhibits initiative, problem solving with a high attention to precision and accuracy at a task-specific level
- Effectively communicates internally through timely and appropriate means
- Understanding of structural engineering concepts and terms
- Knowledge of structural building systems and details (e.g., reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber)
- Demonstrated abilities and knowledge in Revit Structure
- Demonstrated abilities and knowledge of CAD systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Tekla Structures, Navisworks, Rhino, Grasshopper, a plus
- Knowledge of Dynamo scripting inside of Revit is a plus
