Job Summary
The Intermediate Accountant contributes to implementing a world-class accounting process by performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end and year-end close, and analyzing financial statements to identify discrepancies or trends. Responsibilities include supporting budgeting/forecasting, aiding audits, maintaining general ledger entries, preparing timely GAAP-compliant financial statements, analyzing budget-to-actual variances for distribution costs, ensuring internal controls, implementing process improvements or automation, and assisting with annual audit work papers and external requests. Requires a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance, 2–4 years of accounting experience (manufacturing environment preferred), proficiency with Excel and accounting software (Sage a plus), solid GAAP knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. CPA is preferred but not required. Skills in reconciliation, closing processes, financial reporting, analytical thinking, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of accounting experience
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred
- Proficiency with accounting software; Sage is a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Valid Driver’s License
- CPA (preferred but not required)
