Job Summary
Manage assigned client accounts and daily routes by grooming and trimming plants, probing soil for moisture, and cleaning foliage with dusters or sprays. Keep track of tools on job sites, write up special services for scheduling, and identify plant replacements to install small specimens. Maintain a clean work vehicle, remove personal items daily, and adhere to company maintenance inspection policies. Ensure work sites are restored to original condition, leaving no dirt or debris behind. Cultivate positive client relationships while communicating professionally and maintaining a clean uniform. Use proper horticultural references and stay informed of industry trends to continue your own education. Report equipment problems and accidents immediately, and advise managers if additional assistance is needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year horticultural education or equivalent experience
- Must have a valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record
- Must be able to hand-carry buckets of water weighing 20-25 pounds frequently and on a daily basis
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to identify common tropical plants
- Must be able to drive in downtown urban areas
Desired Qualifications
- Tropical horticultural background preferred
